Mankatha was supposed to be a birthday treat for Ajith fans because the film’s intended release date was his birthday on May 1st. But this did not happen due to the film’s shooting schedule stretching beyond the fixed timeline.
It is sheer coincidence now that Mankatha will release on August 31st, 2011, which happens to be its music director Yuvan Shankar Raja’s birthday. Yuvan is happy that Mankatha’s music has reached far and wide and the audio sales have been extremely good too. His happiness should have doubled now that the film is releasing on his birthday!
