10. Animaniacs:
Toons packed with humor, comedy and wisdom, Animaniacs has been a much loved favorite among people of different generations even. Most of the characters in the show are created from previous characters that were part of Warner Brother’s production. The overall lack of values with the two independently housed characters, Beavis and Butthead is the main source of the fun in this show. It was first aired in 1997 and has since then gone on to become one of the most successful adult oriented cartoon series of all time. This series is known to be exceptionally humorous and most of it is usually very graphic, however the representation of modern day happenings and events is shown very well in this particular series.

One of Joesph Barbera’s greatest creations, the FlintStones shows life as it would in the stoneage in the world of animation. Fred Flintstone is a much loved cartoon character and the series has also been made into a feature film. Certainly among the best universally viewable cartoons you will find.
4. King of the hill:
Among the most realistic cartoon series ever made, this series is set apart by the realistic humor that is so well shown throughout its close to 14 seasons. It was started in 1997 and has since then run for around 13 years before coming to a close in May 2010. It has been rated among the best TV shows ever.
3. Looney Tunes:
Everybody knows about the immortal characters that are the Looney Toons. Not only are the characters famous all over the world but the series has also been derived into many other series. Each individual character has its own style and class which is unmatched by children’s cartoons even to this date.
2. Simpsons:
The oldest running cartoon series, shows life of the whimsical and unbalanced American family with some great humor. The humor is always great with this series and can be universally watched except for a few episodes. The series has been made popular by the central character of Homer Simpson and the series is certainly among the pioneers of adult animated series.
1. Tom and Jerry:
The famous cat and mouse duo have seen countless remakes, many films and series that run in many versions all over the world. The simple humor in the series makes it easy to watch and laugh to. Certainly deserving the title for the one of the best animated series of all time, this is one cartoon that most people can watch any number of times.
